日本でヨーロッパを感じる一日旅

ゴールデンウィークは毎年楽しみにしている貴重なお休みです。今年はそのうちの一日を、長崎県佐世保市にある「ハウステンボス」で過ごすことにしました。オランダの街並みを再現したテーマパークで、日本にいながらヨーロッパ気分が味わえる特別な場所です。

電車を降りた瞬間、目の前に広がるチューリップ畑、風車、ヨーロッパ風の建物たち。これから始まる一日のワクワク感が一気に高まりました。

まずは満開のチューリップ畑を散策しながら、運河や石畳の道をのんびり歩きました。その後は、いくつかのアトラクションにも挑戦！「VRキングダム」、「スカイカルーセル」、そしてちょっと怖い「ホーンテッドハウス」など、どれも楽しい体験でした。

夕方になると、園内はまるで別世界に変身。ライトアップが始まり、音楽が流れ、幻想的な雰囲気に包まれました。最後は噴水とプロジェクションマッピングのショーを観ながら、素敵な一日を締めくくりました。

ハウステンボスは、ただのテーマパークではありません。アートの要素あり、文化的な見どころもあり、日常を忘れられる非日常の世界が広がっています。まさに“日本にあるヨーロッパ”への一日旅でした。

Golden Week is always a much-needed break, and this year I decided to spend one of those golden days at Huis Ten Bosch in Sasebo, Nagasaki — a Dutch-themed park that transports you straight to Europe without leaving Japan.

The moment I stepped out of the train, I was greeted by tulips, windmills, and European-style buildings — the perfect preview of what was to come.

I started with a walk through the tulip fields (still in bloom!) and explored the canals and cobbled paths. I tried a few attractions including: VR Kingdom, Sky Carousel, Haunted House.

As the sun began to set, the park transformed. Lights came on, music filled the air, and the ambiance shifted into something truly magical. I ended the day watching the fountain and projection show.

Huis Ten Bosch surprised me — it’s more than a theme park. It’s part art installation, part cultural showcase, and a full-day escape from daily life.
